Cooperative membership & lending terms

1. Members only are the primary beneficiaries of any of our services and opportunities.
2. Members can borrow more than 200% of their total savings.
3. Payment is made through members' salaries or business income, or as agreed with the member.
4. To access any lending partner, you must be registered with the cooperative and make regular contributions for a minimum period of six months. The minimum share capital must have been paid in full.
5. Personal and business loans help members save money and repay the loan over a reasonable period of time at a fair and fixed interest rate.
6. Loans are guaranteed at a fixed cost to the eligible member.
7. There are no hidden fees or transaction fees.
8. Payment terms are appropriate to your circumstances or your business cycle.
9. Regular savings are recommended.
10. Members can pay additional amounts on loans, as long as the full value of the loan is repaid within the specified period. However, in case of non-compliance, there will be a penalty.

Online store terms

1. Prices shown on shop.mesteemic.com are per unit stated (per kg, bag or piece); VAT is itemised at checkout.
2. Member prices apply only to active cooperative members signed in to their account (or presenting their member number in-branch).
3. Orders are confirmed once payment is received; pay-on-delivery and bank-transfer orders are confirmed by our team.
4. Unpaid orders may be cancelled by the customer before processing begins. Paid orders are cancelled through customer care, and card payments are refunded via our payment provider (bank timelines of 3–7 working days apply).
5. Frozen goods travel cold-chained; report any condition issue to customer care on WhatsApp the same day, with a photo, and we will make it right.
6. Delivery fees and the free-delivery threshold are displayed at checkout and may change with notice on the store.
